How to use this guide
Arc Raiders gives you hundreds of items and very little stash space. This page lists every item the game currently asks you to hand in, grouped by what it's for, and the ones you can safely recycle. Select an item to see each requirement with the amount, what it recycles into and what it crafts.
Frozen Trail (update 2.0) added the Outpost, the Research Station, the Gunsmith's fourth level and weapon amplification. Those sections are checked in the 2.0 game: the costs come from our own raids and from launch-day footage of the Outpost and Research Station screens, and the item names, rarities and icons come straight from the 2.0 game files. Sections tagged Pre-2.0 are carried over from our 1.x guide and haven't been re-checked yet.

The recycling yields shown here are for recycling in Speranza. Scrapping an item topside during a raid gives only half, so bring valuable items home before you break them down.
What's new to keep in Frozen Trail
Planks and Sheet Metal are the Outpost's bulk materials (65 Sheet Metal and 73 Planks for the project, the expansions and Research Station I alone), and furniture uses more: every piece costs Planks or Sheet Metal plus one secondary item, most often Plastic Parts, Chemicals, Durable Cloth or Light Bulbs. The Steel Cable, Cable Stripper, Epoxy Bucket, Hand Drill, Laser Level and Insulation Roll each pay for one Outpost expansion, and the Mini Pump, Calculator and Differential Microphone build and upgrade the Research Station. Several of them say "Can be recycled into crafting materials" in their tooltip, so don't recycle them by habit. See where to find Planks and Sheet Metal.
Research Items (Battered Paperback, Raider Logbook, Exodus Technical Handbook, ARC Data Module, Frigate Diagnostic Node) turn into Research Points, and Research Points plus ordinary items buy blueprints and furniture designs. That's why a few items that used to be safe to recycle, like Rusty ARC Steel and Metal Brackets, are now worth keeping.
For amplification you need Radial Press, Magnetic Accelerators and an Emperor Modulator for Gunsmith IV, then an Amplification Module of the weapon's rarity. Read the amplified weapons guide and where to find Amplification Modules.
