🌊 Upcoming Map Release

Riven Tides is the next new map coming to Arc Raiders on April 28, 2026. Embark Studios just published the official Scout Report confirming three major areas: the Exodus Hotel, a beachfront resort, and an industrial harbor that was once an Exodus port. The name comes from the 2026 Escalation Roadmap, and between the scout report, newsletter teasers, and in-game Flashpoint hints, we now have a solid picture of what's coming.

Confirmed Map Location

With the April 2026 Flashpoint update, Embark Studios officially revealed Riven Tides' location on the in-game map. Initially, many players speculated it would appear in the bottom right of the Rust Belt, but the map reveal shows it's actually positioned in the bottom left – to the left of Volcano Rise and directly below Buried City. The in-game map even includes an "It's here" sticker marking the exact location.

This placement makes strategic sense for the game's map progression. The coastal region fits naturally with the southern edge of the Rust Belt, and placing it near the volcano area ties into the concept art showing glacial formations and cold coastal environments. The proximity to Buried City and Volcano Rise suggests interesting potential for lore connections and tactical variety between these three distinct biomes.

Official Scout Report: The Full Picture

On April 18, Embark published the full Riven Tides Scout Report on the official Arc Raiders website. This is the complete version of the newsletter teasers that had been dripping out over the previous weeks – and it reveals way more than those snippets let on. The report follows a lone scout who ignored orders, ventured into Panorama Azzurro alone, and ended up walking all the way to a harbor down the coast.

The backstory: Shani – described as an "old-head" – had been telling stories about this place. It was a first-wave refuge along the coast that had to be abandoned because it was too exposed. Vulnerable to attacks from the water, but also a death trap if you got surrounded from the west. Shani offered backup, but the scout went solo. That turned out to be a decision they'd come to regret.

The Exodus Hotel (18:06)

"The welcome sign was salt-worn and peeling but clear enough: Panorama Azzurro."

"Inside it's strange. Posters still hang on the walls, smashed glasses on the countertops, beds still made. It's like whoever lived here got up one evening and just never came back. Like everything's on pause."

"I've been thinking a lot about the rooftop bar, imagining people revelling beneath the stars, without fear of what might descend out of them."

The Exodus Hotel is the map's centerpiece POI. The interior is wrecked – smashed glasses, beds still made, everything frozen in time. The scout mentions a rooftop bar on top, which sounds like it'll be a killer vantage point (and probably a hot drop spot). The whole place feels eerie, like everyone just vanished one night.

First Look: Hotel Walkthrough

What's interesting about the in-game footage we've seen so far is how little of the actual map Embark is showing us. Think about it this way: imagine if before Dam Battlegrounds launched, all we'd seen were a couple of glimpses of Pattern House and maybe a peek at the domes in the swamp – and that's it. Then the map drops and suddenly there's this massive dam, sprawling industrial zones, underground tunnels, and entire areas nobody saw coming. That's the energy we're getting here. The hotel, the beachfront, the harbor – these feel like just the landmarks Embark has chosen to tease, and we have a strong feeling the full map is going to be significantly larger than what these curated clips suggest. They're deliberately showing us just enough to build anticipation, and if previous releases are anything to go by, day one is going to be full of "wait, there's more?" moments.

Pool & Beachfront (18:39)

"The resort wasn't totally abandoned, if you know what I mean, and I don't fancy fighting metal today."

"Passing the pool I saw a large plastic slope descending from the hill. Some kind of water feature?"

"I had to take off my boots just to feel the sand beneath my feet. I listened to the birds and felt the heat of the sun on the back of my neck. Walked like that all the way to the harbor. A pack of Wasps brought me back to reality further down the beach."

ARC confirmed on the map – the scout says the resort "wasn't totally abandoned" and doesn't fancy fighting metal. So expect drones in and around the hotel area. Outside, there's a swimming pool with a waterslide coming down the hillside, sun loungers, and a beachfront bar. The terrain drops along a ridgeline down to the sand. And yes, there are Wasps on the beach – so don't let the vacation vibes fool you. The whole stretch from the pool to the harbor is open, sandy, and low ground. Beautiful, but exposed.

The Harbor (19:14)

"The docks are something else. Towering cranes, piles of shipping containers, and a sea wall encasing it all. It's different from the hotel: industrial, cold."

"Plenty of verticality, cover, spaces to cause trouble, or disappear into. There's signs of flooding too. The tides seem to have swallowed parts of the dockyard and spat it back out again onto the sand. Dead ships lie wrecked and half buried while stacks of containers are toppled and strewn along the strip."

"I was checking one of the buildings when something passed overhead. Just a shadow. Slow, deliberate. By the time I got outside I'd lost it."

Riven Tides Harbor Dockyard Polaroid

This is the big reveal the newsletter teasers didn't touch. The harbor is a full second POI on the opposite end of the map from the hotel – an old Exodus port, industrial and cold, nothing like the resort. Towering cranes, shipping containers everywhere (both stacked and toppled), a sea wall, wrecked ships half-buried in sand, and signs of flooding throughout. The scout describes it as a playground for Raiders: lots of verticality, plenty of cover, and spaces to disappear into.

And then there's the shadow. Something flew over the harbor – slow, deliberate. The scout lost sight of it before they could identify it. This almost certainly teases the new big ARC coming with the Riven Tides update. The scout's final words? "Someone needs to come back here properly. Full team. Full sweep. Shani was right."

And if you're paying attention to the audio, you can actually hear it. At the end of the official teaser trailer, there's a distinct heavy, droning sound – something mechanical passing overhead that doesn't match any ARC we've heard before. The same sound shows up at the tail end of the garntRPG footage embedded above. It's low, rumbling, and unlike the sharp buzzing of Wasps or the whirring of Hounds. Whatever this new flying ARC is, it sounds big – and Embark clearly wants us to notice it before we see it.

Riven Tides Release Date & FAQ

When is the Arc Raiders new map release date?

Riven Tides is expected to release on April 28, 2026. Embark Studios' 2026 Escalation Roadmap places Riven Tides as the final update of April, and since Arc Raiders patches typically land on Tuesdays, April 28 – the last Tuesday of the month – is the most likely date.

Where is Riven Tides located on the map?

The Flashpoint update confirmed Riven Tides is in the bottom left of the Rust Belt, to the left of Volcano Rise and below Buried City. This was revealed via an "It's here" sticker on the in-game map screen.

What kind of map is Riven Tides?

It's a full-sized outdoor coastal map with two main POIs: the Exodus Hotel (an abandoned resort with a rooftop bar, pool, and waterslide) and a Harbor Dockyard (an industrial Exodus port with cranes, shipping containers, and wrecked ships). The terrain ranges from sandy beachfront to ridgelines to flooded industrial zones. A new big ARC is also coming with the update – teased as a slow, deliberate shadow flying over the harbor.

What are the Arc Raiders new map teasers?

Embark released the full Riven Tides Scout Report on April 18, 2026. It follows a scout's unauthorized recon through three areas: the Exodus Hotel interior, the pool and beachfront, and a harbor dockyard down the coast. Prior to that, Embark had been dripping out shorter versions of the report through their official newsletter.
