Candleberries are special winter resources introduced in the December Update 1.7.0 (Cold Snap) as part of the Flickering Flames event. These hardy berries are essential for Speranza's winter survival, and Raiders are tasked with collecting them to help the underground community through the harsh Rust Belt winter.

Candleberries form the centerpiece of the Flickering Flames festival. For Speranzans, the Candleberry Bush is a versatile asset during winter months - the berries create wax for candles, juice for refreshment, tea from roots, hearty stews, warming soups, perfume, soap, and festive decorations.

📍 Dam Battlegrounds: Detailed Location Guide
Candleberries spawn in vegetation areas throughout Dam Battlegrounds. While they can appear anywhere with greenery, there are three particularly dense farming zones worth hitting first.
1. Hydroponic Dome Complex

3. Red Lakes Area

Medium Density Open AreaSoutheastern section of the map. Candleberries spawn around the trees near the lakes - look for vegetation and you'll spot the bushes from a distance.
Why farm here:
- Decent spawn density around trees
- Trees make berries easy to spot from distance
- Lower player traffic
- Multiple extraction points nearby
Cold Snap Warning: The Red Lakes freeze during Cold Snap events. Stay near trees and vegetation for cover, or head to the Dam structure for warmth.
🧺 Fruit Baskets: Bonus Candleberry Sources
During the Flickering Flames event, fruit baskets spawn throughout Dam Battlegrounds. These baskets are similar to the ones that appear during Lush Blooms events but contain winter-themed resources.

Fruit baskets can contain a mix of Candleberries and other plants.
Contents vary - the screenshot shows one example with 5 Candleberries, 1 Moss, and 2 Great Mullein, but each basket is different.
Fruit baskets are much more efficient than picking individual Candleberry bushes. Always prioritize baskets when you spot them!

Pro tip: Store extra crafting materials in your stash between raids so you can complete stages immediately after collecting Candleberries.
🗺️ Efficient Candleberry Farming Strategy
Don't try to loot the whole map - by the time you cross to another zone, other players will have cleared it. Instead:
- Farm near your spawn - Head to whichever high-density zone is closest
- Hit fruit baskets first - They give multiple berries instantly
- Clear individual bushes - Pick what's left in your immediate area
- Extract quickly - Get out with your haul and queue for another raid
- Repeat - Fresh spawns every raid is better than chasing looted areas
This approach is faster and safer than trying to hit every zone in one raid. Plus, Candleberries don't respawn during a raid - if they're picked, they're gone until you load into a new match.

During Cold Snap map conditions (lasts 2 hours), frostbite will damage you if you stay outside too long. Look for temporary metal sheet shelters that the devs added around the map - these work to mitigate the cold. Indoor areas like the Hydroponic Dome Complex and any buildings also provide warmth.

- Turn in regularly - Don't risk losing all your Candleberries in PvP. Extract and turn in batches.
