Where to Find Amplification Modules

The Amplification Module is the one item every amplified weapon needs, and it has only two sources: the Frigate and the inside of the fallen Emperor on Pendola Pass. Neither was open in early access, so this page collects everything confirmed so far, plus the route into the Emperor as it currently looks. We'll update it as we farm them.

🔄 This guide is being updated

Frozen Trail launched on October 8. The module sources come from the developers; the route into the Emperor comes from in-game tooltips and early-access footage and still needs to be confirmed in a full run. Check back for drop locations and screenshots from inside.

Quick Answer: Where Amplification Modules Drop

SourceWhereHow you get thereStatus
Fallen Emperor (inside)Pendola PassOpen the door at its base with an Emperor Gateway ConduitConfirmed source; route being verified
The FrigateVisits several mapsBoard it while it patrols a map; boarding method not yet knownConfirmed source; not in early access

Modules come in Mk. I to Mk. V, one per weapon rarity: the Mk. I tooltip says it "unlocks common weapon Amplification", so a common gun like the Rattler takes a Mk. I. The developers say all Marks drop at the same rate, so farm volume rather than hunting for a specific Mark. A Mk. I is an amplified-rarity topside material that weighs 0.5 and sells for 7,000.

Getting Into the Fallen Emperor

The Emperor's interior is Arc Raiders' first dungeon: a mostly linear space whose layout changes between sessions. The door at its base is locked and asks for an Emperor Gateway Conduit. Three epic topside materials point at how you build one: each coupler's tooltip says it is "one of three distinct couplers found in ARC machines, said to combine into a singular conduit."

The three couplers: Conductive, Insulated and Plated. One of each should make the Gateway Conduit.

In early access the couplers came out of Emperor Payloads, the containers that crash down during the Redirection map condition. Full walkthrough: how to get into the Emperor.

The Frigate

The Frigate is a huge ARC vessel that patrols a map as a boardable level. Embark describes it as an endgame challenge: get on top, solve its puzzle, survive its hazards and Hydra turrets, then reach the loot. You sabotage it rather than shoot it down. It wasn't available in early access, so boarding and module drop spots are still unknown.

The Other Amplification Materials

Two epic topside materials say "Used to craft amplified weapons" in their tooltips. Both stack to 3 and weigh 0.5, and both came out of Emperor Payloads in early access.

Farming Route (Provisional)

  1. Queue Pendola Pass when Redirection is up. Our event schedule shows when the condition is running.
  2. Find a Damaged Emperor Relay. They're marked on the in-raid map and shoot a red beam into the sky.
  3. Take the Emperor Beacon from the relay and deploy it in an open area. Beacons stack to 3.
  4. Loot the Emperor Payload that crashes down: couplers, Pneumatic Actuators, Pressure Regulators and ARC parts.
  5. Collect one of each coupler and open the Emperor's door for a shot at the modules inside.

What We're Still Verifying

  • Where inside the Emperor modules drop, and how many per run.
  • The exact Gateway Conduit recipe, and whether couplers drop anywhere besides Emperor Payloads.
  • How to board the Frigate and where its loot sits.
  • Whether modules can be crafted, bought or traded.
