Where do you find the Insulation Roll in Arc Raiders?

Only on Pendola Pass, the Frozen Trail map. Most of its spots are loose loot: check shelves, train-car tables and seats, consoles and desks, or counters and tables, and search containers on the way. The areas with the most spots are Almatera Station, Cielo Sereno Observatory and Freight Terminal.

Can you find the Insulation Roll on other maps?

No. Its drop rules tie it to the Frozen Trail map, so it only spawns on Pendola Pass.

Why is the Insulation Roll so rare?

It's a high-tier drop, so it rolls less often than the rare Frozen Trail materials even in the same spots. Loot zones give better odds: each raid marks some areas yellow or red on the map, and red zones roll more and better loot than yellow.

Where to Find the Insulation Roll in Arc Raiders

The Insulation Roll (epic, worth 3,000) spawns on Pendola Pass only. You need it for the Outpost expansion from level 3 to 4 (3 Insulation Rolls, with 40 Sheet Metal and 3 Laser Levels), the level that unlocks Gunsmith IV and amplified weapons. The Epoxy Bucket spawns in exactly the same places, so you'll farm both on one route.

Most of its spawn spots are loose loot, lying out in the open, so look at surfaces as you move through a building. Containers (cabinets, desks, bags, breachable boxes) can hold it too. Share of all its spawn spots on Pendola Pass:

How to Get to the Almatera Station Shelf Room

The best single room we've found for Frozen Trail materials is on the second floor of Almatera Station, inside the station building. Walk in through the main entrance, take the escalators up, and the room full of metal shelves is right at the top. Walk every row and look at each shelf.

On a raid where Almatera Station was a red zone (Loot value: High), these shelves alone gave a Radial Press, Laser Level, Insulation Roll, Thermal Shaker, Hand Drill, Steel Cable and Sheet Metal. As a yellow zone (Loot value: Medium) the same room still gave a Radial Press, Hand Drill and Calculator.

Tips

Train cars are quick wins. Parked passenger cars have a table and seats per bay; walk the aisle and look down.
Head for the loot zones. Each raid marks some areas yellow or red on the map, and they change every raid. Yellow already rolls better loot; red rolls more and better loot still.
It weighs 0.5. Keep picking them up; three is all a project asks for.
Key rooms pay off. In the footage we went through, the Almatera Station, Cielo Sereno Observatory and Old Town key rooms gave Laser Levels, Insulation Rolls, Epoxy Buckets, Thermal Shakers, Calculators and a Radial Press.
